This year held the 11th running Franchise Marketing Awards (FMAs) in the UK, where an independent panel of experts judge and celebrate innovative marketing campaigns and marketing support between franchisors and their franchisees.

Is your franchise business in a rut?  Check out this year’s FMA winners, and gain some inspiration to use for your own inbound campaigns going forward.

Best Website: Dyno

Dyno is the UK’s largest drainage and plumbing company, with over 45 franchisee businesses and local experts located across the entire country. Play around with their website yourself, and you’ll quickly understand why it’s the 2016 winner: it’s well-designed, very responsive and highly usable, and it’s optimized very well for a franchise business.

Dyno’s website offers high quality (and fun!) visuals, and includes details as to every local area served, every type of service they offer, the ability to book an appointment right from the website, and details on their fixed pricing options, service guarantees and their availability (24/7, 365 days/year).

Best Franchisee Marketing Support: Driver Hire

Driver Hire’s franchisor website offers a ton of information for prospective and current franchisees. The site very clearly lays out the benefits of starting a franchise with Driver Hire, including testimonials from active franchisees, and a very thorough list of everything that is provided in their “support package”.

If you want to take the next step and join their network, they very clearly list out the process, area availability, who to contact, and what your start-up investment will cost you. Driver Hire not only explains what you can expect from them, but they also communicate what they will expect from you. In addition to all of this information for prospective franchisees, they also provide a vast resource library of facts, tips, hints and support for current franchisees in their network.

Driver Hire’s franchisor website is a great model template to use in building out your own.

Best Online Marketing: Kare Plus

We really like the design of Kare Plus’ homepage, with the scrolling videos and all of the service tiles, and the ability to find your local branch with a search bar at the top of every page.  They also showcare their social media profile icons throughout the site, and a “downloads” section where you can access case studies, testimonials, and pamphlets on their service offerings.

Best Overall Marketing: Expense Reduction Analysts

Expense Reduction Analysts is a leader in the practices of procurement, and helps organizations find savings and partnerships in order to reduce their overheads and boost their cashflows. Their “Uncover Additional Cashflow” campaign promises a decrease in supplier costs by a minimum of 10 – 20% — a CTA that grabs the user’s attention right away, and promotes a very measureable ROI.
