Email marketing is a low-cost, relatively easy way to contact and connect with your customers. Email marketing is used to continue building loyalty with existing customers, and to build new relationships with new and potentially new customers.
Our blog post topics this month cover the basics of email marketing, and how to make sure your campaigns are as successful as possible. But it’s important to note the little details in your ongoing email campaigns…not only should your design and layout be sleek and professional, but you should always ensure you’re doing the proper editing and proofing to make sure there are no spelling or grammar errors, or broken links. Nothing can be more frustrating to a potential client than receiving an email promoting an item, with a link that doesn’t even work!
If you’re going to spend the time to build your email campaign, make sure you review the basics before it’s scheduled!
- Professional design & layout
- Check for broken links
- Include “unsubscribe” link (per the new anti-spam legislation, issued last July 1st)
- TEST your email on all platforms (including mobile!)
- and….proofread!
